We Believe
Drollerie Press believes in providing quality entertainment to our customers: good stories, polished with good editing, accompanied by quality cover art, and provided at a reasonable price, in as many ways as our customers want to enjoy them.
Partnership
We believe in fair and honest treatment of our customers, authors, artists, editors, technical support associates, and distribution partners, and in working toward a successful and rewarding relationship for everyone involved. We believe that a strong business is built slowly, with ethical principles and on sound business practices and decisions. We believe in being guided by honesty, common sense, and good judgment to govern our conduct.
Information Policy
We are committed to ensuring that all business-related information is kept secure, and recorded and reported accurately, honestly and in a timely manner. We exercise diligence in ensuring that reported information is organized in a way that is understandable and does not mislead or misinform those who receive the information. Our sites use cookies to assist you in browsing, and personally identifiable information is kept to process orders in the bookstore, but we do not make use of any information you provide to us except the minimum necessary to process your order.
Diversity
In addition, we believe in diversity of population, and constantly strive to provide products that depict humanity both sympathetically and accurately, inclusive of all races, colors, genders, creeds, sexual orientation, marital status, ability, and age. If you feel that one of our products does a disservice to one or more individuals or groups, we hope that you will bring the matter to our attention.
Plagiarism
We feel very strongly about plagiarism and copyright infringement. There is never an excuse for either and allegations of either will be taken seriously and vigorously researched. Any work found to contain plagiarism or copyright infringement will be removed from publication immediately.
A Positive Environment
It is our philosophy that every individual has the right to work with a company that provides equal opportunity and prohibits discriminatory practices and conduct. We take harassment seriously and will endeavor to prevent, investigate, and correct harassment in any setting where company business or a company-sponsored event is conducted. Anyone involved in unethical conduct will be censured and may be released from contract. Anyone who attempts to intimidate or retaliate against another individual seeking to report an ethics violation will no longer be associated with Drollerie Press.
We will not take part in any transaction in which one or more of us would receive an improper personal benefit. Our authors should always feel free to contact us regarding any issue, and each individual author is provided the same benefits and service as all other authors.
Giving
Beyond giving us the ability to publish good stories and support the authors in whom we believe, Drollerie Press allows us to give to the causes we believe in.
Each of us has a favorite charity and/or research organization, due in part to some effect they, or the problems they fight, have had on our lives or the lives of those we love. They include Literacy.org, The Hunger Project, Habitat for Humanity, NOAH, The National MS society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Organization for Autism Research, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, the Lupus Foundation of America, and more.
We celebrate the anniversary of the opening of Drollerie Press each year by donating to Brenda Novak’s Auction in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research, and we plant a tree for every book we release.
