The April issue of Farrago’s Wainscot is up and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it includes poetry and fiction from two authors we’ll be publishing later this year, Adrienne J. Odasso and Catherine Lundoff. I also have a story included.
Farrago’s Wainscot is edited in part by Darin Bradley, our Literary Fiction editor. I lured him with promises of … well, not much, frankly… after I found that Farrogo’s Wainscot had become one of my regular stops for great fiction on the web and had entered into negotiations with him to publish a “Best of 2007″ anthology. He has become a friend as well as a valued colleague. One of the things I appreciate in Darin is his ability to be honest, even–I should say especially–when we disagree. I’m honored that he agreed to publish my story.
I hope you’ll take a look at the issue and bookmark the publication for future visits.

I really loved your story. That last line, burrowing through the bone is haunting me. In a good way!

Very good story indeed, Deena. Poetic prose, great insight, an excellent variation on a universal theme.
