“Living in the Vale of York, I rarely have the opportunity to read about my way of life. Ms Parker has taken a sleepy village and made it magical and exciting. I never expected the WI could be interesting. A series of short tales told from Alicia’s point of view, including the mutterings of a witch who cannot understand why people do not expect Salamanders at a wedding or think cats should stick to saying meow.”
