The chat was fun! As usual we were all over the place, but we talked a lot about the new books coming out soon. Such as:
Michael F. Stewart’s 24 Bones, a supernatural thriller set in Egypt that combines Coptic Christianity with Egyptian myth, and comes out with something altogether new;
Kathi Wallace’s Assiniboin Girl, a YA urban fantasy about an orphaned girl from New York who ends up having to move back to her parent’s home, the Assiniboin Reservation;
Sorrow by John Lawson, a fantasy that puts regency manners in a decadent setting and looses a mysterious assassin who cries black tears at every death on the citizenry (could that sentence be any longer?);
and Middlewitch, a delightful romp about a British witch who saves the world, described by author Heather Parker as Jeeves and Wooster meet Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Our friend lafreya won the ARC of 24 Bones, but there are more great stories and more chances to win coming soon!

Those books look exciting, but when do you suppose the anthologies will be released?

@Jess, LRRH is waiting on the artist and the copy-editor, Bump is waiting on typesetting but should be done shortly, and the fairy tales are waiting on my desk getting just a little clearer. They are still all scheduled for February/March (though obviously probably closer to March than February).
They’re coming though!

I’m so bummed I missed the chat this time around. I was bogged down in work eek! I’m going to keep an eye out for the next one though!
In the meantime I’m definitely adding some of these books to my TBR pile. They sound great!
