Hey guys, mark your calendars! Drollerie Press will be holding an author’s virtual mini-con throughout the month of May. We’ll be offering Word Wars in the chat room during the week, and scheduled chat events with special guests on the weekends, all in conjunction with Joely Sue Burkhart’s MayWriMo Writing Challenge.

If you join MayWriMo, you don’t have to write 50k words, you just have to set a challenging writing goal. MayWriMo will include a yahoo group, the encouragement of your peers, and prizes! For more information check out Joely’s blog. Our virtual mini-con will also encourage you (we hope), as you write toward your goal. You don’t, however, have to join the MayWriMo to visit the chats or enjoy the other events, but we expect the whole thing to be a great time and provide a lot of encouragement.

We’re working on providing a line up of guests to talk about writing, querying, characterization, world building, race, gender, feminism, genre, and many other great subjects on the weekends throughout the month of May, scheduled at various times so you can join in wherever you are, and culminating in our month-end chat on May 30 at 9PM EST.
